Solid Structures served as the general contractor for the new Clinton Branch Library, an approximately 10,800-square-foot civic facility constructed for Laurens County and the Laurens County Public Library System in Clinton, South Carolina.

Designed around a light-filled central circulation space, the library features an elevated clerestory that brings natural light into the core of the building. Purpose-built community spaces include adult and youth collections, a dedicated children’s room, teen area, maker space, private study rooms, open reading and seating areas, and a large public meeting room. Exterior amenities include a covered front porch with custom bench seating and a landscaped reading garden.

The project combined structural steel construction, masonry, architectural metal panels, expansive glazing and a standing-seam metal roof with coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and technology systems. Completed in 2025, the Clinton Branch Library received a 2026 Honor Award from AIA South Carolina, recognizing the strength of its community-focused design. The project demonstrates Solid Structures’ ability to deliver design-forward public facilities where construction quality, specialized coordination and lasting community value are equally important.
