Solid Structures completed work on the Aiken Technical College Welding Lab Renovation, a technical education facility project designed to support hands-on welding, grinding, and cutting instruction.

The project included improvements to the welding training and grinding lab areas, including new welding booths, new grinding booths, welding tables, grinding tables, and coordination with existing booth systems. The renovated layout also supported related spaces, including orbital, monitoring, storage, locker, restroom, vending, outdoor yard, and entry areas.

The exterior scope included manufactured walkway canopy improvements, canopy foundations, bollards, flashing at the existing building, and coordination with storm drainage connections. With specialty equipment, instructional lab requirements, fire-rated construction coordination, and mechanical interface points, the project reflects Solid Structures’ ability to deliver technical training environments that support safety, durability, and long-term educational use.
